This film portrays one of the stories from Muromachi era’s “Otogi Zoshi” using three-dimensional dolls.
The main character, who is roughly 3cm tall, goes to Tokyo and drives away the demons with a sewing needle sword. A story of making one’s way in life where the main character becomes taller as he waves the magic mallet left by a demon, and grows into an admirable young man who lives happily ever after with his master’s daughter.
The film has been distributed to 24 countries worldwide by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after it was released at Expo 67 in Canada.
