The work of Kenzo Masaoka, who is presently known as the “father of Japanese animation”: This movie portrays the story of Ushiwakamaru, as he meets a tengu (a Japanese folklore creature) in Mount Kurama and goes through training to then battle against Benkei on the Gojo Ohashi Bridge, where Benkei becomes Ushiwakamaru’s disciple. Benkei’s voice is played by Masaoka himself. Complete edition.
